An original 50 x60 cm (20"x24")oil painting of a brown bear and raven in a Finnish spring landscape.

When observing bears in the wild I have noticed that where there are bears there are birds! In this painting I wanted to show the interaction between the species. In the spring, after the long Nordic winter food is short, and the raven only has to be patient to get some easy pickings from the bear's leftovers.

This painting will be shown and will be for sale at The Wildlife Artists' Association International annual exhibition at the Nature in Art Museum in Gloucestershire from 27th May to 4th June 2017.
