Water's Edge - Galgo Espanol and Hare

Another Hare and Hound painting!  Inspired by my Spanish greyhound (Galgo Espanol) and her changing relationship with the local hare population. Although this painting is sold there are fine art prints available which you will find here >>>

A year ago we moved close to the sea. I often walk with my adopted galgo Tenshi along the front looking out to the horizon and admire the changing light and reflections on the sea. Our only distraction, the hares on the beach! Yes, really early morning during the summer we often saw them in pairs or threes, running and skipping around. There is no food for them there so purely leisure time for them! They can play to their hearts content as we cannot venture onto the beach as 'no dogs allowed'.

The dark green spruce on an island gives the perfect backdrop to the pale subjects as they negotiate a wave flowing into some shallow water. I mixed a delicate shade of peach to contrast with the green and to not over whelm the the long legged galgo and her companion. The painting has hanging fixings on the reverse ready to hang straight on your wall.
